GMV Space Systems Inc. received a contract from Orbital Sciences Corp. to provide flight-dynamics software for the Thor 2-R telecommunications satellite, GMV announced.

Orbital received a contract from Telenor ASA in September to build Thor 2, which will provide Ku-band and direct-to-home television broadcasting services in the Nordic countries, Europe and the Middle East. The satellite is scheduled for launch in late 2007 aboard a Proton Breeze M rocket provided by International Launch Services.
