SES Americom has been awarded a multi-year contract by West African Gas Pipeline Company Ltd. (WAPCO), SES announced Aug. 29.

The contract calls for SES Americom to provide a satellite-based network for Ghana-based WAPCO’s gas pipeline via SES Americom’s AMC-12 satellite and Leuk, Switzerland-based teleport. The network will provide WAPCO real-time monitoring, control and data collection of gas in its pipeline or in transit.
