Iridium Satellite LLC reported revenues of $53.6 million in its 2006 second quarter, finishing the period with 159,000 subscribers around the globe, the company announced July 24.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization reached $13.2 million in the quarter, which ended June 30. Commercial service revenue jumped 24.8 percent compared to the 2005 second quarter and represents about 70 percent of total revenue, the company said.
