Garmin Introduces aviation device GPSMAP 496

Garmin International Inc. introduced its GPSMAP 496 aviation device July 19. The portable GPS unit targeting the aviation market offers features such as airport diagrams, an enhanced high-resolution terrain database, accelerated GPS update rate and preloaded automotive maps of North America or Europe. The unit is expected to be available in late July.
