The U.S. Air Force awarded ATK Space Systems Inc. a contact to develop automated composite production technologies for space launch vehicles. Work performed under the contract, valued at $21.7 million, is intended to offer improvements and design flexibility in the cost for space launch vehicles. The work is scheduled to be completed by October 2011.
