Arianespace will sign a deal with Arabsat to launch the BADR-6 satellite for Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) in mid 2008, according to industry sources.

In June, Arabsat announced EADS Atrium will build the communications satellite, which will be placed at 26 degrees East and carry 16 Ku-band and 24 C-band transponders to provide service over the Middle East and North Africa.
