The U.S. Air Force awarded Boeing a $138 million option to build three additional GPS satellites under the company’s existing Block 2F contract, Boeing announced July 5. The company will build a total of 12 satellites under the contract with the first to be delivered in 2007. The contract, worth $800 million, also includes ground segment support.
