SES Americom Wins Contract From LCN
SES Americom won a multiyear contract to provide Local Communications Network Inc. (LCN) with C-band satellite bandwidth on the AMC-12 satellite, SES Americom announced June 8.
The contract will allow LCN, a provider of high-speed wireless communications, to double its satellite network capacity in Africa. LCN has African clients that include small and medium enterprises, Internet service providers as well as government agencies.
AMC-12, located at 37.5 degrees West, was launched in February 2005 and provides service throughout the Atlantic Region, which includes North America, Europe, South Africa, the Caribbean and Africa.
Details of the agreement were not released.
