Foxtel, the Australian direct-to-home operator, has unveiled what it claims to be Australia’s most advanced digital television facility.

The newly built Foxtel Television Centre will be the company’s national headquarters and has been designed as a focal point for the wider subscription TV sector’s digital advance. The center includes two studios, comprehensive edit suites and audio post suites, and full post production services. Up to 1,000 people could be located at the center, Foxtel said.

Sky News Australia also has built a state-of-the-art, 24-hour news studio at the center, which Sky News claims is the first fully integrated digital newsroom in Australia.
