NDS won a contract to provide an end-to-end system for a new direct-to-home platform in Romania, NDS said. The technology vendor will provide its Videoguard conditional access system, as well as its Mediahighway middleware and electronic program guide to Boom TV, DTH Television Grup‘s satellite pay-TV platform.

Boom TV was launched earlier this month in Romania, which offers a potentially strong market for digital TV services with its population of 40 million people.
