Sea Launch Signs Contract for IA-9

Sea Launch signed a contract with Intelsat Ltd. to place the IA-9 spacecraft in orbit in the fourth quarter 2007, Sea Launch announced May 1. IA-9, being built by Space Systems/Loral and will provide C-band and Ku-band service to North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Intelsat currently plans to operate the satellite from 97 degrees West.
