International Datacasting’s Profline B.V. Operations Wins Network Upgrade Contract
International Datacasting Corp. announced yesterday at the SATELLITE 2006 Conference and Exhibition in Washington, D.C., that ProfLine B.V., their wholly owned subsidiary and base of operations in Europe, received a new order from the World Family of Radio Maria, to supply equipment for a major satellite radio network upgrade. The contract is valued at more than $1.25 million (CDN).
The order from Radio Maria calls for the delivery of Profline’s newest family of satellite receivers based on the Digital Video Broadcasting (DVB) standard and specifically designed for the professional radio broadcast market. ProfLine’s equipment will be used to expand the Radio Maria network, primarily in Italy, and will replace an older generation of technology which has reached end of life. ProfLine has previously supplied network equipment to Radio Maria to deliver their services in Spain, Burkina Fasso, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, Albania, the United States and Mexico.
