DataPath, Inc., which provides products for mission-critical communications, has deployed battlefield communications equipment for the marines‚ three SWANs (Support Wide Area Networks. SWAN is a satellite and Internet protocol (IP) communications system that provides forward-deployed marines and their central command posts with robust communication capabilities.

DataPath’s contribution includes commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) satellite earth terminals, network equipment and integrated logistics support. The company is being used to support the marines‚ Video and Storage Wide Area Network (VSWAN) and Logistics Support Wide Area Network (LSWAN) in Iraq, plus the Horn of Africa Support Wide Area Network (HSWAN).
