The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) named Joslyn Read the organization chairwoman for 2006, SIA announced. Read, assistant vice president for regulatory affairs at Hughes Network Systems, replaces Tony Trujillo, senior vice president for corporate services and government relations at Intelsat Ltd.

The Board also elected Nancy Eskenazi, vice president and associate general counsel for SES Americom, as vice chair and Jennifer Manner, vice president of regulatory affairs for Mobile Satellite Ventures, as treasurer.

David Cavossa was reappointed executive director and corporate secretary.
