Tata Sky also will deploy NDS’s Mediahighway middleware and Value@TV interactive infrastructure to offer interactive services.
In November, Tata Sky, a joint venture between the Tata Group and News Corp.’s Star India, signed a lease agreement with the Indian Space Research Organization for 12 Ku-band transponders aboard the Insat-4A satellite, which the company plans to use to broadcast 150 digital channels across India.
