Intelsat announced Jan. 26 that Globecast WorldTV renewed its contract for the use of multiple transponders aboard the Intelsat-Americas 5 (IA-5) satellite. The contract will support growth of Globecast’s international television distribution platform over North America. Globecast has used IA-5, located at 97º West, to broadcast international video programming in the United States since 1998.
