SES Astra signed an agreement with Top TV, a free-to-air leisure and shopping channel in the Czech Republic, to provide for digital capacity on Astra 2C, SES announced Jan. 19.

Top TV becomes the fourth Czech free-to-air channel transmitted via Astra at 19.2 degrees East, joining music channel Ocko TV, parliamentary channel 24.cz and public news channel CT24.

“Our agreement with Top TV confirms our leading role in the highly competitive Central and Eastern European market,” Alexander Oudendijk, senior vice president and COO of SES, said in a statement. “Top TV is an attractive enhancement of our free-to-air channel line-up and we look forward to a fruitful and successful cooperation.”
