Point.360 announced Dec. 12 the availability of its standard-definition and high-definition (HD) global satellite transmissions service for spot distribution, syndicated program distribution and events.

The service, based on Globecast’s worldwide satellite and fiber network, will provide 24-hour access for production studios and advertising agencies to have their latest HD products delivered to broadcast clients through a turnkey service, Point.360 said.

The service, based in Point.360’s Hollywood facility, currently is being used to deliver HD programming to Canadian broadcaster CTV.
