Sea Launch received a firm contract award from Hughes Network Systems LLC to launch the Spaceway 3 satellite in early 2007 aboard a Zenit 3SL rocket, the companies announced Dec. 8.
The spacecraft, being built by Boeing, will be located at 95 degrees West and is intended to provide broadband Internet service, as well as multimedia applications.
