Sirius Satellite Radio and Mercedez-Benz USA said Nov. 17 they have extended the exclusive relationship that puts Sirius receivers in select Mercedez-Benz automobiles as a standard feature to Sept. 1, 2012.

Initially, Mercedez-Benz plans to offer Sirius receivers as a standard feature on all 2007 model year SL-Class and CL-Class vehicles, as well as AMG and 600 model vehicles. Mercedez-Benz plans to expand the number of models that will be equipped with Sirius receivers in the future to about 250,000 Mercedez-Benz vehicles, about half the company’s yearly sales.
