Integral Systems Inc. said Nov. 14 it received a contract from satellite radio company Worldspace Inc. to provide a satellite control system based on Integral’s Epoch integrated product suite. The system will be used to control Worldspace’s Afristar and Asiastar satellites.

The contract calls for the Epoch-based systems to be installed at Worldspace’s regional operations centers in Silver Spring, Md., and Melbourne, Australia. Integral said the system would replace the existing satellite control software and extend the life of Worldspace’s satellite control system for at least 15 years.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
