Direct-to-home satellite television services provider DirecTV announced Oct. 18, in association with Sur Corp., the launching of Sur Mexico, a new channel offering regional network programming from Mexico.

Sur Mexico, launching later this fall, will broadcast news and information programming from 10 regional stations in Mexico. The channel is designed to offer subscribers outside the Mexico City area a link to this programming.
