Talkswitch, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of telephone systems for small and multi-location businesses, announced Oct. 5 that it has teamed with Ramtelecom to provide a satellite-based Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solution to businesses in remote locations.

Customer’s deploying Ramtelecom’s satellite-based telecommunications service will be able to integrate a Talkswitch IP private branch exchange as part of their system. The exchange will provide advanced call handling and control capabilities and eliminate long-distance charges for routine tasks like checking voice mail.
