The Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communica-tions plans to establish a full-service, international satellite communications network, the organization announced Sept. 26.

Working with regional partners, Intersputnik will offer corporate users a package for establishing and operating dedicated networks that connect regional offices and company branches. The service includes the design, supply and installation of equipment, lease of satellite resource, maintenance and administrative support.

Intersputnik’s first regional partner is Isatel Ltd., a Russian system integrator that holds the necessary licenses for telecom service provision within Russia. Intersputnik plans to sign similar direct agreements on cooperation with regional partners in the CIS, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
