Advantech AMT, a manufacturer of satellite and terrestrial wireless communication equipment, announced Sept. 9 that it reached an agreement with Powerwave Technologies to purchase Powerwave’s Microwave operation in Gothenberg, Sweden. The wholly owned group will be incorporated as Advantech AMT AB and resurrects the Allgon Microwave brand, which it used previously. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“This action, one in a series of recent acquisitions, affirms our determination to further establish Advantech AMT as a leader within the wireless telecommunications industry,” said David Gelerman, Advantech AMT’s chairman and CEO.
