BT Media And Broadcast said Aug. 22 it expanded its deal with Filipino broadcaster ABS-CBN to encompass the management of ABS-CBN’s entire European network, including service support, operations and satellite and fiber capacity management.

Under the terms of the deal, BT will become ABS-CBN’s sole outsourcing partner covered by a service level agreement. BT will provide a fiber link from BT’s Los Angeles Media Center to BT’s International Media Center in London, picking up five DVB channels of video and two radio channels to be sent via the Atlantic Bird 3 satellite for distribution across Europe and the Middle East. BT also will provide ABS-CBN with a return feed from Europe, which allows ABS-CBN to see what their subscribers are viewing.
