Canadian Satellite Radio (CSR) signed a deal to market its satellite radio service and hardware through London Drug stores, CSR announced July 28.

CSR, which will use XM Satellite Radio technology, received permission from the Canadian government in June to launch subscription radio services in Canada. London Drugs operates 63 stores across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and British Columbia.

No date for service launch has been set, and the awarding of the government license to CSR and Sirius Canada still faces a protest from a number of Canadian companies and interest groups.
