Stratos Global Corp., a global provider of Inmarsat mobile satellite services, and SMS Global Ltd., recently introduced SMSCrewmail, a new prepaid short message system (SMS) and text e-mail service for maritime crewmembers. With SMSCrewmail, which is part of the Stratosone and Stratosnet offerings, crewmembers can send and receive SMS and text e-mail messages using most Inmarsat satellite platforms, including Inmarsat-A/-B/-M/mini-M/R-BGAN/GAN and Fleet, as well as Iridium and Marinesat/Landsat.

Prices of the SMSCrewmail service were not disclosed.
