Northrop Grumman Corp. named David Ryan vice president of payloads and sensors for its space technology sector. In this position, he will be responsible for all of the space technology sector’s subcontracting activities and will lead strategy development and implementation for payloads and sensors.

Ryan, rejoins Northrop Grumman from Boeing Space and Intelligence Systems, where he was vice president and general manager.

Prior to joining Boeing in 1990, Ryan spent 13 years designing and operating satellite systems for the former TRW Space and Electronics Group in Redondo Beach, Calif., which was acquired by Northrop Grumman in 2002.
