Stratos Global Corp., a provider of advanced mobile and fixed-site remote communications solutions, announced July 6 the appointment of John Wilson as senior vice president of energy services. Wilson will be responsible for global energy sector sales and services.
Wilson joins Stratos with more than 20 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. M ost recently, he served as president and chief executive officer of Trade Ranger Inc., a procurement portal owned by a group of large companies in the oil and gas industry, including BP, Shell, Total, ConocoPhillips, Dow Chemical and others.
“John’s extensive background in the global oil and gas business will be a major asset for Stratos as we continue to build on our industry-leading presence in this important sector,” John Parm, president and CEO of Stratos, said in a statement.
