Weida Communications Inc. announced June 28 that China’s Shenyang Water Conservancy Bureau awarded the company a $210,000 contract to supply an emergency satellite communications system. Shenyang awarded the contract to Weida’s Guangzhou Weida Communications Co. Ltd. subsidiary.
The project includes a fixed satellite communications station, two mobile satellite communications stations and a vehicle-mounted mobile communications station. These systems will provide data, voice and video communications. Completion of this project is expected by year’s end, Weida said.
