Globecomm Systems Inc., a global provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications services, won multiple contracts from an unnamed existing customer valued at approximately $4.2 million, Globecomm announced June 9.

One award, valued at $3.8 million, is an option to a contract awarded to Globecomm in July 2003 for fixed and transportable terminals. The customer has now exercised $18.2 million in options, bringing the total value of the contract to $26.5 million. The award contains another $8.5 million in options, Globecomm said.

Under a separate indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, the same customer exercised an additional $400,000 in orders, bringing the total value of the award to $2.3 million. An additional $2.5 million in orders remains on the contract.
