Intellon Corp. announced that Echostar Communications Corp. selected its Homeplug Powerline technology, which will be added to Echostar’s Dish Network satellite television receivers to integrate multiple receivers with a single connection to distribute satellite-delivered radio throughout the house.
Traditionally, customers with multiple Echostar receivers were asked to plug each unit into a separate telephone jack. The new Homeplug-embedded receivers enables consumer to use a single telephone connection with multiple boxes to distribute audio throughout the home.
