Hughes Network Systems LLC (HNS) unveiled June 6 its managed telecommunications service, Direcway Unified Broadband, aimed at providing enterprise users with a generic broadband network solution.

HNS will offer network solutions that encompass one or more technologies, allowing customers to optimize the network to meet their needs. Initially, the service will use satellite, DSL and frame relay communication technologies, but will include other communications technologies as they grow and mature.

Information technology managers will be able to monitor network implementation and activity in real time using the HSN customer portal.
