Integral Systems Inc. received a contract from Broadcasting Satellite System Corp. (B-Sat) to provide a satellite control system for the Bsat-3a spacecraft, Integral announced June 2.

Integral will provide a primary and backup control system based on its Epoch satellite control software system. The system also will provide transponder data distribution systems at uplink locations for B-Sat’s customers.

Bsat-3A, being built by Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2007 and will provide direct broadcast services throughout Japan.

B-Sat uses Epoch-based control systems to operate its Bsat-2a and 2c satellites.
