King Controls, a Minneapolis-based manufacturer of mobile satellite antenna systems, filed a patent infringement suit against KVH Industries Inc., King announced May 27.

The suit, filed in Minnesota Federal District Court, claims KVH infringed on three King patents covering automated satellite locator system technology. The technology allows KVH’s Tracvision satellite television product to switch between multiple service providers.

King is seeking to stop KVH from selling Tracvision products and also calls for the court to award monetary damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees.
