Americom Government Services Inc. (AGS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SES Americom, said May 31 it received a contract through prime contractor Innovative Technologies Inc. to provide the satellite communications bandwidth for 80 U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) offices throughout the United States. The bandwidth will carry audio and video communications to help HUD share instructional materials and best practices that enhance the implementation of major programs.

“AGS’ strong record of reliability and large fleet of satellites provide the scale and flexibility we need to meet the budget and service requirements for HUD,” Innovative Technologies CEO Mario Martinez said in statement.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
