Hughes Network Systems LLC said May 31 the subscriber base for its Direcway two-way broadband satellite service has exceeded the 250,000-subscriber milestone during the second quarter of 2005.

“For the past several years, we’ve continually improved both the quality and speed of our broadband Internet access service,” HNS Executive Vice President Paul Gaske said in a statement. “The continued growth in our subscriber base is a testament to the service quality we are delivering today.”
