Report: Russia To Use Baikonur Through 2050
Russia will keep access to the Baikonur launch site in Kazakhstan through 2050, according to a report from RIA Novosti.
An agreement between the two governments calls for the construction of an environmentally friendly complex at Baikonur based on Russia’s Angara complex. Kazakhstan will cover the costs for the infrastructure.
Russia pays $115 million a year for launch facilities in Kazakhstan.
