Globalstar announced that Burlington Resources Canada Ltd., a division of Burlington Resources Inc. and an independent oil and gas exploration and production company, purchased and activated 120 GSP-1600 handheld phones. This purchase, through authorized Globalstar dealer Glentel Inc., will help provide communications for workers in the drilling, completion and construction areas of Burlington Resources.

“Burlington Resources had researched its options for satellite communications for its remote work areas and decided on Globalstar for a variety of reasons,” said Dave Afseth, General Manager Drilling, Completions, and Construction for Burlington Resources.
