German pay-TV operator Premiere reported double-digit increases in overall revenues and subscriber numbers. These were two of the highlighted results for the quarter ended March 31. In terms of subscriber numbers the operator now has more than 3.3 million subscribers, an increase of 11.6 percent compared to the same period last year. In terms of revenues, the operator earned 247.4 million euros ($313.8 million) during the quarter. This is an increase of more than 10 percent compared to the same quarter last year.

Georg Kofler, Premiere’s CEO, said, “Premiere has achieved all its operative targets in the first quarter of 2005. The growth in revenue of 10 percent is well above the average for the German media sector, which is mostly reporting stagnating or falling revenue trends.”
