Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced today that its Tempe, Ariz.-based subsidiary, Comtech EF Data Corp., received a $1.0 million award from the U.S. Government for the deployment of satellite modems and transceivers.

The award includes Comtech’s SLM-7650 satellite modem and high-power C-band transceiver. The SLM-7650 meets Defense Satellite Communications Systems (DSCS) requirements and MIL-STD 188-165/A.
