Americom Government Services Inc. launched May 17 its SmartPoint system, which provides high-speed Internet, data, voice and video via satellite. The system is designed to be quickly and easily deployed and fully operational from the case to airtime by two people in 15 minutes, enabling users to stay in communication with command and control teams. The system comes in four transportable cases that can fit in the back of a Humvee, van, pickup truck or small airplane.

“The SmartPoint system was created with the non-technical user in mind to achieve a simple method of deployment and operation without special tools or advanced training,” David Fields, senior director of technical operations at Americom Government Services said in a prepared statement.
