Globecomm Systems Inc. won two infrastructure contracts from a pair of unnamed international customers valued at approximately $2.1 million combined.

The first contract is with a new competitive service provider in a recently deregulated Middle Eastern country; the second contract is with a direct-to-home video services company in the Middle East.

“Deregulation in various parts of the world continues to open up opportunities for Globecomm,” Chairman and CEO David Hershberg said in a statement. “Many governments around the world are deregulating, allowing entrepreneurial spirit and the deployment of Internet Protocol-based services to flourish.”
