Intel, the Institute for Defense Analyses, and SRI International have joined the Network Centric Operations Industry Consortium (NCOIC), an international collaborative forum comprised of 65 companies and organizations committed to providing a common technical approach that will enable all systems to operate on a global network.

“The work of the NCOIC is gaining momentum across industry, and the addition of these newest members brings new dimensions to this already diverse consortium,” Paul Allen chairman for NCOIC Membership, said in a statement. “These three additions also illustrate the broad acceptance of NCO as a capability, regardless of how it is applied. This is about more than defense; it’s about access to information so that the best decisions – whatever they may be – can be made.”
