ZTE Corp. has become the first Chinese company to receive a license to distribute Qualcomm Inc.‘s gpsOne positioning system, ZTE said.

Under the licensing and distribution agreement, ZTE can sell navigation systems based on gpsOne technology for both CDMA20001X and WCDMA systems.

The agreement reinforces a relationship ZTE established with U.S.-based Qualcomm on gpsOne in 2003, ZTE said.
