Loral Skynet completed the sale of its business television product line to dbsXmedia, part of the Ariel Way Inc. group of companies, for a combination of cash, stock in Ariel Way and ongoing contracts for infrastructure support from Loral Skynet. The specific dollar value of the contract was not disclosed.

Some Loral Skynet employees also accepted jobs with dbsXmedia, Loral Skynet said

“Divesting our [product line] business was an important step in shaping Loral Skynet into a pure Fixed Satellite Services and network services business,” Patrick Brant, president of Loral Skynet, said in a statement. “This transaction allows Skynet to focus on its core satellite service businesses while gaining the advantageous position as a primary provider of satellite and terrestrial communications service to dbsXmedia.”
