SES Astra said the SES Group increased its shareholding in Satlynx from 41 percent to 77 percent, resulting in SES Astra taking full operational control of the company. As a result of the equity realignment, Alcatel Space and Gilat now hold 6 percent and 17 percent of Satlynx, respectively. Satlynx is a provider of two-way satellite broadband communications throughout Europe.

SES Astra also its shareholding in ND Satcom from ten percent to 21.1 percent. The transaction was realized through the conversion of an existing shareholder loan into equity and includes an option to take full control of ND Satcom. This option can be exercised in 2006 at the sole discretion of SES Astra.
