The Intersputnik International Organization of Space Communications said Vadim Belov, who was elected director general earlier this month, has officially assumed his position within the organization. Russian Telecommunications Administration nominated Belov for the position after the term of his predecessor, G. Kurdryavtsev, expired. Belov was unanimously voted into office. Intersputnik said that among Belov’s top priorities with the organization is to create new strong incentives for the members and Signatories to more actively cooperate with the organization.
