Motorola Inc. and WorldGate Communications Inc. claim they have conducted the first true-to-life videophone call over satellite broadband connections using the Motorola Ojo personal videophone. The phone call originated from WorldGate’s Philadelphia-area headquarters and connected to a facility in Virginia Beach using an unidentified commercially available satellite.
